Toopy and Binoo bringing 'musical extravaganza' show to Halifax

The popular TV characters will come to life on stage in Halifax this November

The popular sing-song duo of Toopy and Binoo are returning to Halifax this fall.

According to a release issued Thursday, families across Canada will dance and sing as part of the “musical extravaganza” Toopy and Binoo: Fun and Games including two shows at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium on Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The show integrates music, theatre, dance, puppetry, and multimedia technology for a story following the friend’s quest to find “the best game ever.”

“Along with boot stompin’ Dusteroo’s and limbo loving sheep, Toopy and Binoo return with their wackiest and most interactive adventure yet,” the release said.

Toopy and Binoo is based on the children’s books by Dominique Jolin. The characters made their TV debut in 2005, and quickly took off in multiple countries including Treehouse TV in Canada.

Tickets are $30 in advance and go on sale next Friday, May 13 at noon at the Dalhousie Arts Centre box office, by phone at (902) 494-3820 and online at sonicconcerts.com.

Children under two years do not require a ticket. All children must be under adult supervision. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
